But it has it's downsides, its very sensitive to sounds which means that it not only detects the audio from the speaker but the surroundings also which isn't the ideal sound for a podcast. It's usually used for recording instruments and vocals. Dynamic Mic -  This mic is expensive, as it's expensive it has good quality also. Dynamic mic is the opposite of condense mic. It is not sensitive to sounds which only captures the speakers voice, it records by speaking directly to the front of the mic. This post was made by me. Intro & Jingle This was our first attempt at making the intro. We made the jingle/Intro song with Garageband on Kanna's iPad. We watched a few basic tutorials on YouTube and Google to use the app. We experimented with different instruments, notes and chords on the app and after we were done making the jingle, we recorded Erina's voice and edited it with the jingle and added a sound effect to her voice. Podcast Recording Session We booked a session of the radio room in our school to record our podcast. Unfortunately, our teammate Kanna couldn't make it to the recording session so it was just Me, Erin and Hugo.   Case Study - Alita: Battle Angel (2019) When the first trailer of Alita: Battle Angel was released, critics and viewers did not like the design of Alita's eyes. They said that it was too big. They expressed their disappointment and criticisms on social medias like Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. The producers of the films heard the viewers' criticisms and they thought that the eyes was not too small but that it needs to be bigger to make it less weird. The considered making the eyes bigger but then they decided to enlarge Alita's iris instead.

Case Study - Syrup causes Kidney Failures Agenda Setting - A common story between Indonesian news right now is about kidney failure.  Framing: Most of the news about this story is pro BPOM (indonesian's health organisation) to ban syrups with Etilen Glikol. Some of the news about this story is against BPOM (indonesian's health organisation) to ban syrups with Etilen Glikol. They said that it is only a myth.

Moral panics are irrational fears that have been spread and exaggerated by the media.  5 stages of Moral Panic Concern - an event sparks social anxiety. Hostility - a subculture is seen as ‘folk devils’ who are looked upon with hostility. Consensus - fear of this subculture becomes the dominant narrative in media and social discussion. This post was made by me. We have surveyed 55 students ranging from Grade 10-12 to collect information about their preferences to help us cater our target audiences as effectively as possible. Here are the results of our survey: Summary There is not much of a difference between the amount of Females who consume crime-related media compared to Males. People tend to like older crimes more than modern crimes. They also prefer narrator based storytelling podcasts more than narrative based ones. Majority of people like heavy crimes, and most are ok with gory/graphic content. More than half favors western crime cases and most are more interested in episodic stories rather than a story separated into several episodes. Knowing this information, we decided to make our podcast about old, western crime and it is both narrator and narrative based. We also made it episodic.

  Post-colonialism is the representation of white, British people in the media after the colonization to make them look superior and stay in power against the others. White, British people are represented as heroic, clean, polite, strong, while the others are represented as exotic and barbaric. Case Study - Bridgerton Bridgerton comforts post-colonialism because the British royalty are dressed very nicely, they talk and act very politely, they live in a mansion and are highly respected by people. However, it also subverts post-colonialism because the royalty in this series consists of a lot of people with color/the "others", instead of only white British people. The main character, Simon Basset, is a black man and he is married to Daphne Basset, a white British woman. The white British people can be seen living together along with the "others"

 This podcast was made by me PODCAST Batman Unburied We listened to this podcast in class. It is a scripted, high-budget podcast with BGM, sound effects and proper audio. This podcast is narrative based and the story is divided into 10 episodes, about 30 minutes each. The sound effects and BGM used makes it more interesting and easier for audiences to imagine and picture the story. Solved Murders: True Crimes Mysteries - The Candy Box Killer This podcast is a scripted, high-budget podcast with BGM, sound effects, a theme song and proper audio. It is a mix of both narrative based and narrator based. Two people are narrating the story and they sometimes act dialogues out as if they are the character in the story. Some cases are episodic (1 crime case per episode) and some crime episodes are divided into 2-3 episodes. The vocabulary they used is not very hard and it was fairly easy to understand the story.
